Hjörtur Georg Gislason, MD, PhD

Tytuł doktora medycyny uzyskał na Uniwersytecie w Bergen w 1995 roku. Jest specjalistą chirurgiem, ekspertem w dziedzinie chirurgii bariatrycznej, autorem m.in. takich prac jak: „Laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass with 2-metre long biliopancreatic limb for morbid obesity: technique and experience with the first 150 patients.” (Obes Surg. 2005 Jan;15(1):35-42.), “High-volume bariatric surgery in a single center: safety, quality, cost-efficacy and teaching aspects in 2,000 consecutive cases.” (Obes Surg. 2012 Jan;22(1):158-66. doi: 10.1007/s11695-011-0557-0.). Przewodniczył wielu projektom badawczym w dziedzinie leczenia otyłości. Pracuje w szpitalu Aleris w Oslo.
